University of Vienna has an opening at the Vienna Environmental Research Accelerator (VERA)for a “Technical laboratory assistant for large equipment” to work (not exclusively) on Accelerator Mass Spectrometry.
Tasks include:
- Technical and administrative coordination of the mechanics and electronics workshop including IT-administration (according to qualification), management of consumables, coordination of maintenance and repair works by external companies
- Technical support of VERA including design, development and operation of scientific equipment (mechanics and electronics) as well as maintenance and repair
- Support of research and teaching with VERA including preparation of measurements, training how to use the scientific and technical equipment and support of students during work with VERA.
