Annual Workshop on Ion and Particle Beams 2026 – Ionenstrahlworkshop 2026

We are pleased to announce that  will take place on June 15–16 in Munich.

The workshop is an annual forum that brings together researchers from ion beam physics, materials science, radiation biology, and related fields. Following successful editions at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung and University of Duisburg-Essen, this year’s workshop will once again gather experts from both fundamental research and applied sciences.

The workshop focuses on current developments in the use of ion beams – ranging from fundamental physical questions to technological applications, as well as medical and biological effects. In addition to invited talks, the workshop provides a platform especially for early-career researchers to present their work and to connect within the community.

By fostering interdisciplinary exchange, the workshop aims to strengthen collaboration between national and international research institutions.
