The Applied Nuclear Physics Conference (ANPC 2020) is taking place from 13-18 September 2020 at the Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University in Prague, Czech Republic. The new Applied Nuclear Physics conference is introduced by the Nuclear Physics Division of the European Physical Society (EPS).
Scientific topics include
- Ion Beam Analytical Methods in Material Science
- Ion and Neutron Beam Irradiation of Materials
- Nuclear Physics for Energy and Space Technologies
- Nuclear Analytical Methods for Environmental and Cultural Heritage Studies
- Nuclear Physics in Medicine
Detailed information on the conference can be found in the conference announcement (external link to pdf-file) or at the official ANPC website.
There’s also an open call for the nominations for the IBA-Europhysics Prize, which will be awarded at ANPC2020. The deadline for nominations is 15 March 2020.
A word from Anna Macková, ANPC Chair:
“The ANPC will provide an open forum for scientists and engineers working in the wide field of nuclear applications with particular emphasis on energy, health, space, environment, material science, preservation and cultural heritage. This is a unique opportunity for scientists from these different communities to exchange views and foster synergies to find new ways and horizons to the challenges in their field. Moreover, the ANPC will offer an overview of the current state-of-the-art to young researchers and students, via numerous lectures presented by the leading scientists in a broad range of nuclear physics applications.”
The abstract submission and registration is open now.
The submission deadline is 12 April 2020.
