Ionoptika Ltd is an SME specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance ion beam technology for micromachining, nanofabrication, and surface analysis applications. With 25 years in the industry, we have a wealth of experience in ion beam science, and benefit from close association with leading scientists in the fields of ion-optical design, physics, analytical chemistry, and biology and the life sciences. Our team consists of scientists, mechanical engineers, electrical design engineers, CAD specialists, test engineers, and software developers, and the design, including electrical design, construction, and testing of all our systems is done in-house.
Our expertise extends from the design and manufacture of individual ion sources to complete instruments. Our flagship instrument, the J105 SIMS, is a state-of-the-art secondary ion mass spectrometer which delivers spatial resolution, mass resolution, mass accuracy, and exceptional high-mass performance all at the same time, and is the only instrument of its kind specifically designed for use with cluster ion primary beams. In 2018, in collaboration with the University of Surrey, we launched the SIMPLE tool, an advanced platform for precision, deterministic implantation of single ions for the development of quantum computers.
